Description: Warren Horton McBryde Album- 'COVER' + a ~1951 Map

Warren Horton McBryde Album (provided by Hercules Historical Society (HHS) for scanning 2007). This Album contains Photo Nos. 126500 thru 12663. A portion of the Mare Island Quad of the 1950's is on D7 as 12664A to show the Southern Pacific RR mainline and its curve near the then Hercules Wharf on the area, where most of the plant facilites/construction photos in McBryde's album were taken between 1905-1908. NOTE: This entire album is filed at CCCHS under Hercules-Industry-Hercules Powder Co. #2, although many of McBryde's Personal Photos were added to the blank sides of pages amongest all the plant facility photos. The name "Hercules Powder Co." came to be sometime in 1906. It was previously known as "California Powder Works". Some of the 1906 photos also relate to "California Vigorit Powder Co. & an accompanying Power Report (not with these photos, probably taken by McBryde)"; this company's relationship to Hercules, is not discussed. Note: 2 pages of McBryde Album- Personal Photos were previously extracted and are recorded as 12714 thru 12721 in the CCCHS DB.
